Is your training only available in the United States?
No. In our live virtual blended classes we typically have students from all around the world, which provides a richer learning experience. Since our courses are very hands-on, the instructors will typically team attendees by time zone to make it more convenient for teams to work together during normal hours in their respective regions. We also conduct face-to-face classroom training in other geographies upon request.
Will you conduct training at our location?
Absolutely! We do Onsite Training for organizations who need to train several employees or entire teams. This approach guarantees employees are receiving a consistent learning experience at locations that are most convenient for the business. We also find the interaction among employees working together as a team in the classroom carries over into the workplace.
Do I need a background in Statistics to attend your Lean Six Sigma training?
There are no prerequisites required for our courses. We provide basic statistics in our courses and our instructors can recommend supplemental training for those needing additional help.
Will we work on real-life projects in class?
No. The Green Belt and Black Belt courses use case studies where students apply what they learned in class.
Do you provide coaching?
Yes. Our Master Black Belts and Black Belts can provide coaching as you work on your first Lean or Lean Six Sigma project. Our coaching fees are dependent on the amount of coaching you will need. Please checkout our coaching page for more information and pricing. You can also contact us directly regarding any additional questions.
do you offer payment plans?
Not at this time. We do accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal on our secure Merchant payment portal.
Course Structure and Duration
Do you provide additional information prior to the start of your live virtual classes?
Yes. 7 days prior to the start of our Live Virtual Classes (LVCs), you will receive an email from your instructor that provides details about the class, as well as access to all course materials (assignments, templates, presentations). At the end of each weekly session your instructor will also discuss any assignments that will be due prior to the next virtual class session.
How are your Live Virtual Classes delivered and how long are they?
We use Cisco’s Webex to deliver our Live Virtual Classes as it provides chat capability, polling, multimedia sharing, breakout rooms, VoIP and mobile support (Android, iPhone, iPad) to keep our learners engaged during the weekly 2-hour classes. Webex will also record our sessions that our attendees can access and play back at their convenience if they want to review.
Does the course contain downloadable content for future reference?
Yes, key content in PDF format is provided to course attendees. We also provide you with the same templates and that we use in class. We only ask that you please do not distribute elsewhere.
*We do not provide Minitab but can offer attendees at a 10% discount.
Do you assign homework in the Live Virtual Classes? If so, How are the assignments assessed?
Yes, there will be homework assigned each week in both our Green Belt and Black Belt LVC courses. Our classes are structured with team-based exercises that are considered part of successful course completion. The homework assignments give attendees the ability to apply what they learn in class. Each team will be responsible for posting completed assignments that the instructor will review and provide feedback to the team. During the next scheduled LVC, the instructor will also review / discuss the exercise with the entire class.Answer to question 3
If I miss a training session in the Live Virtual Class (LVC) due to work commitments, am I still eligible to attain a course completion certificate?
We strongly recommend not missing any of the live sessions, as you will miss out on the questions that are normally asked during class by attendees, as well as the review of team exercises. However, we understand that often times work, family matters take precedent. So, you can miss 1 live session (out of 9) in the Green Belt course and 2 live sessions (out of 12) in the Black Belt course and still earn the training certificate. * If you miss a session, a recording will be available to you one day after each live event that we recommend you view if you miss the live session.
How long are your courses?
We offer different delivery methods (i.e. face-to-face, live virtual) for many of our courses, so please check the specific course page on our web site as to delivery method and duration.
How soon after the class ends should I schedule my exam?
Upon successful completion of the course, you are given access to the final exam. We recommend not waiting too long to take the course final exam, since one's memory tends to fade as time passes. However, each individual is different, so we provide our attendees with a 1-month time frame to prepare for and complete the course final exam.
What is the minimum score for the assessment?
For all of our course final exams, you must earn a minimum score of 80%.
Are the exams timed?
Yes. The final exams are timed but open book. Times for each final exam will vary by course, dependent on the number of questions.
How are the final exams delivered?
Final exams for our live virtual classes (LVCs) as well as our face-to-face classroom classes are administered online.
How many attempts am I allowed to pass the final exam?
You are only given one attempt to take the final exam.

Later cancellations will be charged in full or issued a credit toward future programs.

I was unable to complete all of my course work due to work commitments, can I get an extension?
I was unable to attend any of the training. Will I get a refund?

Webex supports the following browsers:
One week prior to the first day of class, your instructor will send an email with additional information about the course, as well as a test link so you can ensure your machine is compatible with Webex.
do i need a microphone for the live virtual classes?
You do not need a microphone for class (you can use your laptop's builtin microphone and speaker), but a headset with a built-in microphone will eliminate echoing when multiple people are speaking at the same time.
To address echoing, our instructors normally ask everyone, who is not speaking at the time, to mute their microphones to prevent the echoing.
Do I need any additional software for class?
Most of the tools and templates we use in our Lean and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt courses are Microsoft Excel. Our Black Belt course uses Minitab in addition to the Excel tools and templates. We do not provide copies of Minitab, but can provide a 10% discount to attendees.
